Heather Garrett Interior Design offers residential and commercial design services. We provide three different residential design service options: hgY Online Design, Turn-Key Design Service, and Hourly Consulting.

Heather, together with her team, brings nearly twenty years of professional interior design and decoration experience to your project. While hourly design consulting remains the preferred approach of those clients needing little more than a nudge in the right design direction, others appreciate the known quantity of a fixed project fee (priced per square foot of floor space under consideration) for more involved work. And, for those wanting a more DIY approach, we now have a third service available!

Residential Design Services

hgY Online Design – Fixed Fee per Room

On a slim budget? Unafraid of a DIY weekend involving power tools and a paint roller? If you love the Heather Garrett “look” but want a designer-generated plan you can implement all on your own, then this design package is for you.

You Gather specifics about your preferences, lifestyle, budget, and space. We Deliver an hgY Presentation customized to your space containing all of the tools you’ll need to implement the new look on your own. And, after a little elbow grease on your part…Ta-Da! You did it!

Turn-Key Design Service – priced per square foot

This is the service designed for those of you who need – or want – to step out of the design process and invest in a Turn-Key solution for a fixed fee per square foot. After an initial meeting to determine scope, budget, and style preferences (you’ll have homework, gathering your inspirational images!), an in-depth design study is conducted. Careful floor plans, renderings of the proposed furnished space, and a corresponding budget are produced and presented with finish samples and selection images. A complete package! Once plans have been finalized and approved, our team manages all aspects of delivering and installing a carefully timed, finished project…down to the final detail. You won’t believe the moment of our “Big Reveal.” Trust us! Think HGTV, with all its “oohhs” and “ahhhs”. We’d love for you to talk with past Turn-Key clients to hear what the process was like for them, so ask us for references!

Please note: The Turn-Key Design Service for kitchens and bathrooms that require reconfigurations (remove/move/add walls, design custom cabinetry, et cetera) in addition to surface changes, is $20/sf.

Hourly Consulting – $140/hr

This service is a good fit for the client needing a second opinion on a fabric choice, revision of an existing furniture plan, or seeking advice on selection of a new lighting fixture. One of our designers will review your photos and measurements of the space in question, partnering with you in search of the best decorative scenario. The fee for this service is $140/hr.

Commercial Design Services

Heather’s commercial design is driven by careful collaboration in defining a client’s concept – understanding the desired feel of the space, analysis of local competition, understanding the target patron. Product and design knowledge in the areas of lighting, furnishings, materials and work flow appropriate for each project is applied to evoke a dynamic, original space that is unique on every level.

Careful renderings of the finished space with a corresponding budget, detailing every specification and selection, are approved before commencing work… a process which proves invaluable in carrying out a project within budget and consistent with a client’s original vision.
