In 2001, Heather moved to Durham NC from New York City, where she had attended Parsons School of Design while working as a fly on the wall for the firm of French designer Robert Couturier. The geography change prompted Heather to fine-tune an ability to merge a variety of interior styles and settings… from French Modern to Southern Traditional. With a clientele often drawn to Southern American architectural elements, but seeking more modern decor, she has developed an accessible, signature style. Heather feels that the genre emerging in her work could easily be called The Modern South.

Over 20 years, Heather's projects have earned her the honor of bringing dreams to reality for clients nationally. She was named a “Creative Class” member by Garden & Gun, a “New Trad” by the editors of Traditional Home Magazine, and her work has been published by those including House Beautiful, Food & Wine, Rue Magazine, and My Domaine. She is honored to be a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and mother of two grown kids. Heather lives in downtown Durham, and can mostly be found at home with her Maine Coon cat and candles.
